How to set up a custom domain for my website?

Once you upgrade to our Premium Plan, you can connect a domain registrar to your TenantCloud site. You will need to provide your domain host with the following name server records (make sure you are signed in to view your personal name server records).

Instructions for Various Domain Hosts (i.e Network Solutions, GoDaddy, Yahoo, etc.)

 

1. GoDaddy:

 

To connect your GoDaddy domain via pointing, follow the steps below:
 

  • Sign in to your GoDaddy account.
  • Click Manage next to Domains.

  • Click Manage DNS in the settings tab.

  • Add an A record:
    • Click the edit icon  next to your A record.
    • Under Points to enter 35.163.28.67 and then click Save

  • Enter a CNAME record:
    1. Click the edit icon  next to your www CNAME record.
    2. Enter a CNAME record @ and then click Add

Please note! If you have the A- record for www then it should be deleted as you already have the www for CNAME.

2. Network Solutions:

 

To connect your Network Solutions domain to Wix via pointing, follow the steps below:
 

  1. Sign in to your Network Solutions account.

  2. Click Manage Account.
  3. Click Edit DNS.

  4. Select the checkbox next to the relevant domain. 
  5. Click Manage Advanced DNS Records
  6. Click Edit A Records.

  7. Next to  @ (None), type the TenantCloud IP address 35.163.28.67 and click Continue.
  8. Click Edit CNAME Records.
  9. Type www in to the first text box below Alias.
  10.  Enter a CNAME record @ and then click Save Changes.

Please note! If you have the A- record for www then it should be deleted as you already have the www for CNAME.

3. Crazy Domains:

 

To connect your domain from Crazy Domains via pointing, follow the steps below:
 

  1. Sign in to your Crazy Domains account. 
  2. Click Domains.
  3. In the DNS Settings section, click the menu icon on the right and select DNS Records from the drop-down menu.

  4. Enter the TenantCloud IP address 35.163.28.67 (the first record) provided.
  5. Click Create

  6. Enter a CNAME record:
    1. Click the edit icon  next to your www CNAME record.
    2. Enter a CNAME record @ and then click Save

Please note! If you have the A- record for www then it should be deleted as you already have the www for CNAME.

4. 123Reg:

 

To connect your 123-reg domain via pointing, follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your 123-reg account.
  2. Click Manage next to the relevant domain. 
  3. Click Manage DNS under Advanced domain settings.

  4. Click Change under Website Settings (A records).

  5. Click the Advanced DNS tab. 
  6. Next to the first @ A record, click the Edit icon and delete the IP address listed in the Destination text box.
  7. Enter the TenantCloud IP address 35.163.28.67 (the first record), and click the check mark to save the changes.

Please note! If you have the A- record for www then it should be deleted as you already have the www for CNAME.

5. 1&1:

 

To connect your 1&1 domain via pointing, follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your 1&1 account.
  2. Click Manage Domain
  3. Under Domain Settings, click Edit DNS Settings

  4. Under A/AAAA Records (IP Addresses), select the Other IP Address checkbox.
  5. Next to IPv4, type the TenantCloud IP address 35.163.28.67 (the first record).

  6. Scroll down the page and click Save
  7. Enter a CNAME record:
    1. Click the edit icon  next to your www CNAME record.
    2. Enter a CNAME record @ and then click Save.

Please note! If you have the A- record for www then it should be deleted as you already have the www for CNAME.

 

TenantCloud provides a free SSL certificate for a client's domain name. If you have your own SSL certificate, let us know and we'll connect it.

Important:

It may take up to 48 hours for the DNS record changes to take effect. After a domain transfer is successful, your computer or browser might still be directed to the old site when you try to access the domain. This issue usually resolves itself after several days, depending on the router or browser settings.
